Behind "The Lens"
My journey as a photographer began in high school, a time when creativity was my escape and my expression. Back then, I wasn’t holding the latest gear or fancy camera—just whatever my mom had lying around the house. But from the moment I captured that first frame, something clicked. It was more than just taking pictures; it was about freezing time, telling stories, and seeing the world through a different lens.
My passion for photography didn’t come from formal education or costly college courses - it came from a relentless curiosity and a love for creating. I’m self-taught, learning through trial and error, late-night research, and countless hours behind the lens. Every mistake was a lesson, and every successful shot was a milestone that pushed me further.
In those early days, I upgraded to a Canon Rebel, a camera that became an extension of my creativity. It was my companion through high school and beyond, capturing the moments that would define my style. But the real turning point came right out of high school when my husband gifted me my first “big girl” camera—a Canon 5D Mark IV. It was a game-changer, opening up new possibilities and challenging me to elevate my work.
As life evolved, so did my equipment. Drawn to the innovative mirrorless technology, I eventually transitioned to Sony, a brand that has since become my go-to. I’m absolutely in love with the features and flexibility it offers, but who knows—maybe one day, I’ll switch back. The beauty of photography is that it’s ever-changing, just like life.
Today, I’m not just a photographer; I’m a wife and a proud mom of four incredible kiddos. My family is my world, and they inspire me daily to see the beauty in the ordinary.
Photography isn’t just my profession; it’s my passion. It’s how I connect with the world, how I capture memories that will last a lifetime. Whether I’m behind a Canon or a Sony, one thing remains constant—I’m here to tell your story, just as I’ve told mine.
